Precision Machining of Castings
Turnkey finish machining for aluminum and iron castings — one supplier from raw casting to finished, CMM-verified part.
Overview
Dynamics Group delivers machined castings as a single, turnkey deliverable. We do not operate a foundry — we purchase the raw casting for your program, then perform every downstream operation in-house: datum strategy development, fixture design and build, CNC milling, drilling, tapping, surface finishing, and final CMM verification. Your team issues one purchase order and receives a finished, print-compliant machined casting — cutting an entire handoff, and its lead-time and quality risk, out of your supply chain.
Castings present machining challenges that bar stock never does: draft angles, uneven stock conditions, parting lines, and datum schemes that must be established from as-cast surfaces. Because our engineers develop the datum strategy and design the workholding under the same roof as the machines, first articles come off qualified rather than tuned by trial and error — and that discipline carries through every repeat lot of an automotive or heavy-equipment casting program.
Casting machining is one part of our broader CNC machining capability in Madison Heights, Michigan. Send your casting prints and volumes to request a quote — we respond within 24 hours.
One Purchase Order
We buy the raw casting and deliver the finished machined part — one supplier, one point of accountability for your machined-castings program.
In-House Fixturing
Datum strategy and workholding are engineered and built in-house, so as-cast variation is controlled before the first cut.
CMM Verified
Casting programs are qualified on our Mitutoyo AE112 CMM and Keyence XM-5000 probe CMM before parts ship.

Machining datums developed from as-cast surfaces, so every feature holds true position across the entire lot — not just on the first article.
Fixture Design & Build
Workholding engineered and built in-house for repeatable location on cast surfaces, from qualification fixtures to production tombstones.
Complete Finish Machining
Milling, drilling, tapping and surface finishing on our VMC and turn-mill platforms, holding tolerances to +/-0.0002 in where the print demands it.
