Aerospace CNC Machining & Tooling
Our experienced design team at Dynamics Group can go to work for you – either starting from scratch or working with your existing design
Overview
Aerospace components live or die on geometry and documentation. Dynamics Group machines both into every part: precision CNC machining to tolerances as tight as ±0.0002 in, verified feature by feature on CMM, from our facility in Madison Heights, Michigan. Aerospace manufacturers — including Pratt & Whitney — rely on us for tight-tolerance machining and tooling.
Complex aerospace geometry runs on our 5-axis equipment. The Okuma Genos M560V-5AX carries a 41.3 x 22 x 18.1 in envelope with a 15,000 RPM spindle, and the Hurco VM10UHSi handles smaller 5-axis work — contoured surfaces, compound angles, and multi-face parts machined complete in a single setup, which is where tolerance stack-up problems are eliminated. Six VMCs with envelopes to 51 x 22 x 20 in and Doosan Lynx turning to 14.96 in diameter round out capacity for prismatic and turned components.
We machine the materials aerospace work specifies: aluminum, titanium, stainless steels, and engineering plastics and composites. Every critical dimension is verified on our Mitutoyo AE112 CMM or Keyence XM-5000 probe CMM, and an Artec Leo 3D scanner supports reverse engineering and as-built verification. Inspection reports ship with the parts. Our quality system is ISO 9001-compliant — details on our certifications and quality page.
Beyond components, our engineering team designs and builds aerospace tooling and fixtures in CATIA, NX, and SolidWorks, and supports development work through 3D printing and prototyping.
