Inspection Gauges & Checking Fixtures
Our experienced design team at Dynamics Group can go to work for you – either starting from scratch or working with your existing design
Overview
Dynamics Group designs and builds custom inspection gauges and checking fixtures at our ITAR-registered facility in Madison Heights, Michigan. Our builds cover the full range of shop-floor inspection tooling: checking fixtures for stamped, molded and machined components; go/no-go gauges; true-position pin gauges; retained pin gauge kits; pressure testing fixtures; and post-weld pull-verification test tools that confirm a welded joint before it leaves the cell.
Every gauge starts with your GD&T. Our designers work directly from the datum structure and feature-control frames on your part print, so the gauge checks exactly what the drawing calls out — no interpretation gap between quality engineering and the shop floor. Designs are modeled in CATIA, NX or SolidWorks and reviewed with your team before we cut metal, and the same tooling design & build group that engineers the gauge builds it in-house.
Because a gauge is only as good as its own accuracy, we verify every gauge we build on CMM before it ships — on our Mitutoyo AE112 and Keyence XM-5000 — and deliver the inspection report with the tool. Read more about our quality system on the certifications & quality page, or request a quote — we respond within 24 business hours.
Designed From Your GD&T
Gauges engineered directly from the datums and feature-control frames on your part print, in CATIA, NX, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
CMM-Verified Before Shipping
Every gauge is measured on our Mitutoyo AE112 or Keyence XM-5000 CMM, and the inspection report ships with the tool.
Hybrid 3D-Printed Gauges
On the right applications, a printed gauge body with machined, hardened contact points delivers the same check for a fraction of the cost. Representative example: a traditionally machined go/no-go gauge quoted at 21 days, $9,600 and 45 lb was delivered 3D-printed in 48 hours at $1,500 and 3.2 lb — 90% faster and 84% lower cost.
