Welding Fixture Design & Build
Spot-weld fixtures, left-hand/right-hand pairs, weld assembly tooling and automated welding systems — designed and built under one roof in Madison Heights, Michigan.
Overview
Welding fixtures live or die on two things: weld access and repeatability. Dynamics Group designs and builds custom weld fixtures that hold your parts exactly where the weld gun needs them — and keep holding them there through thousands of cycles. Our welding tooling portfolio covers part-holding spot-weld fixtures, left-hand/right-hand fixture pairs for mirrored assemblies, weld assembly tools and fully automated bracket welding systems.
Every fixture starts with design for weld access. Our engineers model your parts, weld gun and clamp geometry in CAD, verifying gun clearance and clamp sequencing on screen before a single block of steel is cut. Locators and clamps are positioned to preserve datum integrity through weld distortion, so every assembly comes off the fixture in tolerance. Because design and build happen under one roof, tryout is done in our own shop: we load parts, run the weld sequence, measure the results and refine the fixture before it ever ships to your line.
That integration pays off at production scale, too. A leading automobile manufacturer engaged Dynamics Group to streamline its welding line; automated fixtures and integration expedited lead times across the program.
Where the application suits it, we also offer 3D-printed welding fixtures as a hybrid alternative. A representative example: a traditional machined weld fixture delivered in 30 days at $19,750 and 48 lb, versus a 3D-printed equivalent in 5 days at $4,700 and 10.6 lb — 83% faster and 76% lower cost, with a fixture operators can lift with one hand.
Welding fixtures are one part of our full tooling design and build offering. Ready to talk about your weld line? Request a quote — we respond within 24 hours.
Designed for Weld Access
Gun clearance, clamp sequencing and locator placement are verified in CAD before steel is cut — so the weld gun always reaches the joint.
Built & Tried Out In-House
Machining, fabrication, assembly and tryout happen in our own shop. Your fixture arrives proven, not theoretical.
Repeatable by Design
Datum-driven locating and robust clamping hold assemblies within tolerance through weld distortion — shift after shift.

What To Expect
Our group of design experts specializes in rapidly bringing your products to market. Dynamics Group has access to the leading edge of software and hardware, and we can accelerate project timelines and provide build to print support or work with you to develop a design that fits your manufacturing specifications.
Weld-Access Design Reviews
Gun clearance, clamp sequencing and part loading are reviewed with your team in CAD before the build starts.
In-House Build & Tryout
We machine, fabricate, assemble and try out every weld fixture in our own shop before it ships to your line.
Hybrid 3D-Printed Option
Where suitable, 3D-printed weld fixtures cut lead time and cost dramatically — up to ~90% faster for the right applications.
LH/RH Pair Expertise
Mirrored left-hand/right-hand fixture pairs engineered together, so both sides of your assembly line stay in sync.
ITAR-Registered Data Handling
Your weld data and part models are handled at our ITAR-registered facility — your data stays YOUR data.
